We want to make the expense of primary care regular and predictable. We believe in simplicty.

Its very similar to a gym membership. For an affordable monthly fee, you have virtually unlimited access to your own personal physician, in the office, by phone, or by e-mail. You never pay a copay. You will enjoy relaxed visits with a physician without the long waits or crowded office of a traditional practice and have as much time as you need with your doctor.

Your membership includes an annual physical examination as well as office visits during normal business hours, telephone consultations, and e-mail consultations. We try to offer after hours and weekend visits whenever needed.

Laboratory and radiology studies are not included, however we have arranged for discounts for our patients. There is no charge for procedures performed in the office, however supplies and medications may be charged to the patient in some circumstances. We do not do nursing home visits. If you are hospitalized we will coordinate care with the hospitalist following you during your stay.

Your membership with Access Private Medcine is not a form of health insurance, nor is it a replacement for health insurance coverage. We reccommend everyone have health insurance for catastrophic events, though we think a high deductible insurance plan coupled with a health savings account (HSA) works best with our model.

For patients with insurance the process of specialist referral is no different. We will work with you to find a specialist on your insurance plan. For patient's without insurance, we have arrangements with many specialists to see our patients at discounted rates.

We see Medicare patients, but we do not submit charges to or accept payment from Medicare. We have officially "Opted-Out" of the Medicare program. Our patients sign a medical service agreement which stipulates that they will not submit our charges to Medicare either.
